2011 Year End Ranking Pt. 2

79. Motivation - Kelly Rowland, Lil Wayne (7/10)

I like the vocal melodies, decent production and good verse from Lil Wayne. It's not great but it works.

78. You Make Me Feel - Cobra Starship, Sabi (7/10)

It's fun but nothing I seek out really. Good Girls Go Bad is a lot better.

77. Till The World Ends - Britney Spears (7/10)

Not one of my favorite Britney songs but I'd take this over shit like Hold It Against Me or Piece Of Me any day. Really good hook, decent verses and a nice party atmosphere.

76. Whip My Hair - Willow (7/10)

Hearing this after hearing some of the stuff Willow released in the 2020s so far like Transparent Soul and Meet Me At Our Spot is a change of pace given how different this is but it's a good song to be honest. I get why someone would find the hook annoying but I kinda like it and the rest is good.

75. Brighter Than The Sun - Colbie Caillat (7/10)

This is the most I've enjoyed any Colbie Caillat song I've heard since Bubbly. It's nothing great but it works well enough and I'd take it over sleepy stuff like Fallin' For You any day.

74. Rolling In The Deep - Adele (7/10)

I understand why people love this song so much but I don't know it's just never fully clicked with me. One of the worst songs on 21 if you ask me.

73. Mr. Saxobeat - Alexandra Stan (7/10)

I don't know what to say about this one it's just a fun song but nothing I seek out.

72. It Girl - Jason Derulo (7/10)

I'm a big Jason Derulo defender and while this isn't one of his best singles it's pretty good. I like the whistles adds a lot to it.

71. Otis - Jay-Z, Kanye West, Otis Redding (7/10)

Honestly the Otis Redding sample is annoying and gets old fast but the rest is really good.

70. Ni**as In Paris - Jay-Z, Kanye West (7/10)

And this is better even if I never liked it as much as others.

69. Colder Weather - Zac Brown Band (8/10)

Look I get why people love this one so much and I agree with a lot of the positives people have with it. I respect the story of the lyrics a lot and it sounds really good but I do have one issue with it. It doesn't have enough musical buildup. Like the climax kinda comes out of nowhere. This is an issue some of this band's other slow songs I've heard like Highway 20 Ride and Free don't have.

68. I Wanna Go - Britney Spears (8/10)

This on the other hand is one of my favorite Britney songs I've heard. It's wild and fun and has a very catchy and iconic chorus.

67. What The Hell - Avril Lavigne (8/10)

Like with Girlfriend I totally get why some people hate this but it's really fun. It's not as good as Girlfriend but its still a banger.

66. The Lazy Song - Bruno Mars (8/10)

I get why people hate this because it's absolutely lame, but it's the kind of lame that I like, not the kind I hate. Also it sounds really good.

65. Dynamite - Taio Cruz (8/10)

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Vysgv7qVYTo" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Another dad Thursday morning staple so it has that nostalgia for me and it's also just a good club song. Break Your Heart is better though.

64. 6 Foot 7 Foot - Lil Wayne, Cory Gunz (8/10)

The Banana Boat sample is annoying and I never liked Cory Gunz's verse much but Wayne's bars are absolutely top tier.

63. You And I - Lady Gaga (8/10)

Some production issues like most of the album Born This Way but the rest is great. Espicially the fantastic guitar solo.

62. Coming Home - Diddy - Dirty Money, Skylar Grey (8/10)

I just imagine listening to this while coming home for a trip or something. How did Skylar Grey go from here where she sounded great to I Need A Doctor where she sounded like death within a few months.

61. Like A G6 - Far East Movement, The Cataracts, DEV (8/10)

GOT THE 737 ROCKIN' LIKE A G6!

Okay but for real this is still a banger. It's chaotic in the best way and also so iconic.

60. Rocketeer - Far East Movement, Ryan Tedder (8/10

And this is even better. It's less iconic but it has a better hook, better verses and better production.

59. Bottoms Up - Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj (8/10)

A really fun club song and Nicki ATE her verse.

58. DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love - Usher, Pitbull (8/10)

I stand by Pitbull being the best part of this song. Sure Usher is good here but without Pitbull the song would feel a bit one note. But Pitbull brings so much charisma and energy to his verse that keeps it from feeling one note.

57. Sexy And I Know It - LMFAO (8/10)

I kinda get why people hate this but it kinda slaps. And it's also so iconic.

56. Just A Dream - Nelly (8/10)

Awesome guitar line and the rest is pretty good too.

55. The Time (Dirty Bit) (8/10)

I get why people hate this one but even if I didn't think it kinda slapped, I would find it too funny to hate. But yeah it's just really fun and slaps.

54. We Found Love - Rihanna, Calvin Harris (8/10)

WE FOUND DOVE IN A SOAPLESS PLACE! Okay but for real just a really fun pop song.

53. I'm On One - DJ Khaled, Drake, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne (8/10)

WAH THIS REALLY GOOD SONG HAS THE UOENO GUY ON IT WAH WAH WAH WAH

Oh sorry was making fun of Billboard YouTube and Twitter nerds. Anyway this is just a rap banger with everyone doing very good and a good beat.

52. Stereo Hearts - Gym Class Heroes (8/10)

Adam Levine: "Make me your radio"

America: "okay"

51. The Edge Of Glory - Lady Gaga (8/10)

I gotta be in the right mood to listen to this but holy shit when I'm in the mood it's something special. This is a song about her grandmother and her being close to death. And fun fact: Clarence Clemens, who played the saxophone solo on this track, passed away just a month after the release of this song as a single. Giving the song that edge of death feel in the best way. Again I have to be in the mood and when I'm not the production like most Born This Way songs has issues then, but when I am in the mood this is something exceptional.

50. Fly - Nicki Minaj, Rihanna (8/10)

Both artists do really well and the beat is great. No more to say.

49. 5 O'clock - T-Pain, Lily Allen, Wiz Khalifa (8/10)

T-Pain is overhated in my opinion and really good. And this song is great. I really like Lily Allen's hook, Wiz Khalifa does good, and T-Pain holds it together with his great autotuned vocals.

48. Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5, Christina Augilera (8/10)

Despite the joke I made earlier I am a big Maroon 5 defender and while not one of their best singles, Moves Like Jagger is a really good pop song. The guitar is great, Adam does great, the hook is great, and Christina Augilera kills the bridge.

47. Good Life - One Republic (8/10)

I also will defend One Republic a lot and while not on the same level as All The Right Moves or Counting Stars, this is a really good pop song. The hook is iconic and incredibly catchy and fun. And the verses are good too.

46. I Don't Want This Night To End - Luke Bryan (8/10)

The good version of Eyes On You by Chase Rice.

45. Mean - Taylor Swift (8/10)

This is the 2nd worst song on Speak Now. It's this high. Just because its a weak song on the album its on doesn't mean it isn't a great song in its own right. Just lacks some of the power the rest of the album has. That said this hook is not only iconic but really great.

44. All Your Life - The Band Perry (8/10

This is just a great country song that I have nothing to say about really.

43. If I Die Young - The Band Perry (8/10)

I decided on an opinion on this finally. It's great. I get hating it for the lyrics but I have recently found myself just ignoring them and enjoying the beauty of the instrumentation and as long as that continues it will stay at this score.

42. In The Dark - DEV (8/10)

Banger. Shoutout Edoardo (https://rateyourmusic.com/~Orangespark24)

41. Fuck You - CeeLo Green (8/10)

Iconic banger.

And that's a wrap on part 2 of my 2011 year end ranking. Part 3 should be out soon hopefully.
