My Top 10 Favorite Hit Songs of 2006

  10. Savin' Me - Nickelback Nickelback are a good band. I said what I said. I do not care about any judgements people make against me for thinking this. Rockstar made my 2007 best list and I stand by that. But this is frankly even better. Not quite their best song cause How You Remind Me exists. But this song rules. Chad Kroeger sounds absolutely haunted singing about how depressed he is and how he needs someone to show him that life is worth living. And the guitar line fits the depressing tone so well. And that is just one hell of a hook. The way he sings "show me what it's like to be the last one standing" is just so beautiful to me. Oh and also the strings are beautiful.  9. Dance, Dance - Fall Out Boy Fall Out Boy are a band I have let's just say... conflicting thoughts on. A lot of their big hits from the 2000s are classics, but then This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race sucks. Or like Uma Thurman rules but Young And Menace is godawful. But yeah this...

  10. Gimme That - Chris Brown  Yay. My favorite artist. Chris brown unfortunately had a big year in 2006, and I don't like all but one of those hits at all. This isn't even the worst one (we'll get to that later). It's just Chris Brown creeping on women. My favorite. And doing it over a really stiff and annoying beat, and sounding awful doing it. His autotune has aged so poorly. Don't have more to say.  9. Ms. New Booty - Bubba Sparxxx, Ying Yang Twins, Mr. Colipark This is on the list entirely for that fucking atrocious beat that sounds like a siren and the annoying vocal effects that sound horrible. Other than that the song is fine, but those two elements completely ruin it.  8. Beep - Pussycat Dolls, Will.i.am/ Buttons - Pussycat Dolls  The Pussycat Dolls fucking suck, or at least that's the impression I have gotten from their hits. The best of them is probably Stickwitchu which is like, okay at best. And while these two songs are not as bad as When I Grow U...
